I have been photographing activism in Aotearoa/New Zealand since 2014.
While I am often commissioned by the organisations involved in the demonstrations and stunts I photograph, I love photographing the moments behind the headlines.
Behind any differences or disagreements in political and social views, there are only people.
And more often than not, we all want the same things: clean air and water, rights, decent wages, recognition… and a future.
